Sources of Unbelief (4B) - What's it about Great Faith and Little Faith then? Cont'd

Continuing from the last read,

See what 1 Peter 1:1 says: "Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained (i.e., received) LIKE precious faith WITH US through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" Did you see that? 'LIKE precious faith WITH US'! Not different from us! Peter spoke to people with like (an equal value of) faith.

Just as Christ believers look alike in spirit i.e., we are the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21), EVERY believer in Christ has an equal amount of faith given to us at salvation.

Hear what Ephesians 4:5 says - It's "One Lord, one faith, one baptism" How many? One Faith!

Contrary to what we have in the image above where we see tumblers with different amounts of water, God didn't give any believer less faith to what Jesus has or what our Fathers and Mothers of Faith had. He doesn't give us faith based on some fluctuating emotions or based on our looks and personalities. He didn't look at Adams and say, 'Hmm, I don't like your look. You look so dull' and then gave him a small amount of faith nor did he look at Sarah, loved her so much and said 'Oh, you're such a beaury! You're so lovely! Take a full cup-sized amount of Faith! You deserve it!' Nah. God would be unjust to give everyone different amounts of Faith. He gives without variance (James 1:16-18). Therefore, 'Do not err!' says our beloved brother, James (James 1:16. Exclamation mine).

The Faith we have is The Faith of Christ - it's this Faith that saved us (Ephesians 2:8, Galatians 2:16), helps us to walk in spirit (Hebrews 10:38, Galatians 2:20, Romans 8:14), moves mountains (Luke 17:6), positions us to receive from God (Mark 11:24), overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), causes us to seek God (Hebrews 11:6), helps us to be patient in trouble (Hebrews 6:12) and LIVE! (Galatians 3:11).

It's One Faith! Glory!

My dear, the problem is not that you lack faith; nah. The problem could be that you do not know what you have. It could be that you do not know that you have all the faith you'd ever need. Also, it could be that you do not know how to use what you have to get what has been provided for you.

Now, here comes the big question: how can ignorance be dealt with? I believe you know the answer already: It's by getting Knowledge - the Knowledge of Christ.

If all you know about your salvation is that Jesus died for your sins so that you could be forgiven, it's good but it's not good enough - you'll be saved and stuck that way and God doesn't want that. He wants you to continuously prosper. There are things of God that you've got to be knowing to see Faith work in and through your life more often. It all starts from knowing that you have the Faith of God. Therefore, the way to deal with ignorance is to get into the Written Word which is The Knowledge of God (2 Peter 1:1-4).

With the reading of God's Word, the acknowledgment of the Holy Spirit's help, an open mind, the gifts of teachers and a godly community, learn what The Word says about God, all He's done, who you are, what you have, and what you can do and you'd see yourself progressively releasing Faith in numerous, great and greater ways.

I must say, 'knowing is a continuous process' and it's beyond the intellectual realm - having Scriptures in your head. It's more about having intimacy (just like a man 'knowing' his wife) with God who is your Lover, Father and Friend. Learning is a change that remains constant. So, keep learning God and enjoy Him. God's a loving and good Father. As you know Him, you'll find more about yourself and walk in your reality.

As you grow in the knowledge of Faith which you have, what you can believe for in and around your life gradually increases. You are Blessed!

The Just do not need more faith to live, they just need to live more by Faith. Amen.

The same Faith you were saved by is the same faith you are designed to live by. Amen. God bless you.

Wow! Glory to God. On to the next! - WRONG TEACHING! It's a source of Unbelief, I tell you.

God bless you.

You are Greatly Loved.
