When you think nothing happened, something significant took place! (2)

Still on Mark 11's discourse, let's revise what verses 12-14 and 20-24 say:

12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.

13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.”

And His disciples heard it.

20 Now in the morning (the morn of the next day), as they passed by, they saw the fig tree DRIED UP FROM ITS ROOTS.

21 And Peter, REMEMBERING, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, HE WILL HAVE (future tense: 'shall have') WHATEVER HE SAYS (Proverbs 18:21).

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Brackets mine)

Jesus cursed the tree and it seemed like nothing happened at that moment. But I tell you friend, something significant took place the moment he spoke. Matthew 21:19 records that the fig tree withered immediately after Jesus spoke. See His account:

And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away (It dried up!) - Matthew 21:19 (Bracket mine).

If Matthew recorded that the tree dried up immediately and Mark recorded that the tree withered from its roots, there has to be a relationship between both accounts! The relationship that exists is this: the very moment Jesus spoke to the tree, the roots (which were below the soil) of the tree dried up! I ask you, 'What is a tree without a root?' Useless, right? Yeah! Useless! That's exactly what became of the tree after a while - completely useless! Words are powerful.

It was until the following day that Jesus' disciples saw that the whole tree had completely withered. The word 'from' implies that the withering process took place down-up not at once! It was a process.

Peter and the other disciples could only affirm that the tree had withered when they saw the activity that took place above the soil and he was like WOW 😳. Well, Christ wasn't amazed. He had seen it the moment (or, before) he believed and spoke to the tree. So, He said 'Have Faith in God.' Faith is seeing the unseen. Faith is what brings spiritual reality into physical manifestation. It is the substance of things hoped for (hope is a confident expectation of good in your future) and the evidence (conviction) of things that do not exist in the physical realm. Let me say, 'That something is unseen does not mean it does not exist'.

'Faith is the substance'! (Hebrews 11:1) How can you hold what you hope for (expect)? It could only be Faith.

What happened below the soil took some time to manifest above the soil.

The verses above give us a good picture of what happens when we declare the Word of God to any situation. In Mark 11:23, Jesus said, "...He will have whatever He says." The term 'will' implies that a space of time (no matter how short) gets covered before God's Word comes to manifestation in the physical realm. God wants you well.

The idea behind the withering of the fig tree relates to Jesus' statement in Matthew 6:10. Jesus said,  "Your will be done on earth as it is (not, 'will be' but 'it is') in heaven". This simply means that God's Will has been done in heaven but it takes a period of time for what has been done over there to manifest over here.

Man's response to the Will of God plays a great role in determining if God's Word will come to pass on earth. Do you know why? Man is the one who God has given dominion power over the earth (Psalm 115:16). Can two walk together except they agree? (Amos 3:3). God is sovereign but gave man power to rule the earth.

IMMEDIATELY JESUS SPOKE, THE TREE DRIED UP FROM ITS ROOTS NOT THE LEAVES. THE LIFELINE OF THE TREE WAS DRIED UP! GLORY!!!

The tree drying up from its roots is a nice picture that tells us what happens from the spirit to the physical realm. The activity that took place below the soil can be likened to what happens in the spiritual realm which cannot be seen with our natural senses while the activity that took place above the soil can be likened to the physical realm that the natural eyes and mind can see.

If all you can see in your life and all that surrounds it is just the natural, you aren't seeing all that needs to be seen. Some Christ believers think and believe 'Oh, I'm just human, I'm nothing, I can't help being sick; it's just my nature' Wow! your nature?! That's so untrue! (You are the Righteousness of God, not a sickler! There is nothing righteous about sickness. It's evil!) They think that thinking in such lines is thinking straight or being humble. I tell you they are not. They're ignorant and it killing them! What you don't know is killing you! (Hosea 4:6). It is sick thinking to think that you're not healed (1 Peter 2:24), that you're powerless (Ephesians 1:19). It is sick thinking (not humility) to consider yourself as one who has no authority; so, you have to beg God to heal you (Luke 10:19, Matthew 10:1). I tell you this in love: you aren't thinking right and it has to change. Allow the Word of God to change how you think so you can walk in the reality of who you are, all you have and all you can do in Christ. There's a lot to you! A whole lot!

It is true that without Christ, you are nothing but friend, you're never without Christ. Read Hebrews 13:5 and John 14:16. Your life is hidden with Christ in God! Glory!

When you spoke to that problem, know that the power of God moved in spirit and granted your request but it would take some time (no matter how little) for the manifestation to happen here on earth. If there's no manifestation of the answer, God isn't the problem; it's either you are the one with the problem or something else is just wrong. You can still trust God to know what the problem is and deal with it as God reveals it. God is faithful. Don't discourage yourself.

Things occur in the spirit realm which you cannot perceive with your natural senses. But the Word of God which is Spirit and Life makes them clear to us. You've got to believe that what you said HAS BEEN DONE. Then, you'll see it! That it takes some time to manifest does not mean that nothing has happened.

If you're going to declare that 'Cancer begone!' 'You pain, cease right now,' 'You cold, out!', it has to be with faith. The manifestation can happen immediately or it can take a process. Don't lose faith. I must say that after you've prayed for healing, don't do things that'll negate what you've said. It's a sin! Sin gives satan access to steal from you, kill and destroy you (John 10:10).

Let me give some examples: you shouldn't be exposing yourself to cold after you've rebuked cold. Don't go drinking and smoking after you've rebuked cancer in your lungs; you'll be killing yourself. Just avoid whatever will cause you harm. While satan wants you to be harmed, God wants you well. So, you've got to cooperate with God's desire to see you well.

You will agree with me that there are times that you do not see the manifestation of what you prayed for until after some seconds, minutes, hours, days or even years. You may have even forgotten that you prayed about it until you witnessed the manifestation. It usually happens to me. So, quit speaking negatively, allowing satan to work; SPEAK THE WORD! You need to read Hebrews 4:12. I'm not going to post it here. Read it on your own (open your Bible! 😁).

The Righteousness which is of Faith Speaks! You are the Righteousness of God. God didn't ask you to talk to Him about your healing. He said, "Speak to this Mountain." I guess you already know what a mountain symbolizes. It refers to any problem you face. Know and believe what the Word of God says concerning you and whatever situation you face. Then, speak in obedience to that Word. Act on the Word! Once, you've done that, declare your victory with thanksgiving to God: 'I am healed,' 'I am forgiven,' 'I am well,' 'I walk in Victory,' 'I reign over sickness, infirmity or disease, I am not under God's wrath but under His Grace. So, I am well! Completely Well in the name of Jesus.'

If you experience your healing within a short or long time, and the pain or problem shows up again after a short or long time, don't be deceived to think you're not well. It's probably satan knocking at your door to see if you'd open up. Speak to the problem again - command it to leave! Resist the devil (not tell God to take him off) and he'll flee! (James 4:7) and be thankful knowing that there'll be a complete manifestation of what you have said.

The mode of manifestation varies but you've got to believe that the miracle began when you spoke.

Learn to speak to things, commanding them to change. There are times when you speak, and wisdom comes for you to change the situation. Yeah.

Your healing can undergo a lengthy process or happen within a short time but your faith in what God has said plays an important role in this. When we do not believe in God, we limit His nature and work in and through our lives. God is not limited but man can limit God (Psalm 78:41). Man can set the limit to which God should operate in and through his life and affairs here on earth. This is why prophecies from God fail.

I haven't arrived on this subject of healing and speaking to things but I've definitely left where I used to be. There are several times in my life that I've applied these healing principles and I've seen myself healed. I've seen conditions change. You too can.

I must also say this: give your mind to The Word. It will change you. Your mind is like liquid - it takes the form of its container.

DON'T LIMIT GOD.

Bless you.
You are Loved.
