Good day Blessed One.

You are highly favoured.

Picking up from where we stopped in the last piece, I must say that it's not suffering in itself that produces the fruit of the spirit in and through you; it's the Word. Allowing the Word of God to work in you helps you to release the fruit of your right standing with God. The parable of the Sower makes it clear that it's your intake of the Word that causes you to progressively produce fruit (Mark 4:20).

When the scripture says that suffering produces patience, it's important for us to understand that it's not the suffering in itself that makes us patient, it is the Love of God that is poured into our hearts through the Word and the Holy Spirit that makes us exercise patience (Romans 5:3-5). Remember, Love is Patient and Kind (1 Corinthians 13:4, Living Bible). There is no patience in affliction; patience comes from the Word.

If suffering in itself makes a man patient, the whole world should have been patient by now because it is going through a lot of affliction but the opposite is just the case - people are growing worse because self-centeredness is on the increase. The whole world is suffering and isn't getting more loving, joyful or patient. Where self-centeredness rules, affliction will abound.

Why are there wars? Is it because God created them? Nope. God created man, and man creates wars and one of the reasons for this is impatience (James 4:1, King James Version).

You are a spirit who has a soul and wears a jacket called, 'body'.

When the first man, 'Adam' sinned, his spirit died. It wasn't dead in the sense that it didn't exist anymore; it was dead in the sense that man could no longer fellowship with God - his spirit had been demonized. Satan began to rule his entire life (1 John 3:8, John 8:44 in New International Version). He became deadened to God. Therefore, every person who is of natural birth inherits this fallen state of man.

David said, "in sin did my mother conceive me" (Psalm 51:5). This simply means that he and every person born by natural means was born with a sinful nature. Jesus wasn't born by natural means - no sex between a male and female took place. He was supernaturally born. So, in Him, there is no sin.

When you got saved by receiving the incorruptible seed of God's Word, you received a new spirit - the Holy Spirit. You became born again i.e., born from above (John 3:5-6, 31). Your spirit became one with the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17). You have become a new creature.

In your spirit, you are as Christ is - complete, righteous and holy, mature, perfect, knowledgeable in all things, powerful, blessed with every spiritual blessing. You are completely changed! Your spirit is grown up. It does not need to be fed with the Word. It is full of The Word! It is True! In your spirit, you have the same anointing that Jesus has. That is profound. That's who you are friend - you are a new spirit. Glory! (Ephesians 4:24, Colossians 2:9-10, 1st John 2:20, 1st John 4:17).

I should also tell you that the moment you became born again, you received the fruit of the spirit. So, in spirit, you have love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, and goodness; you are full of faith! You are so kind and self-controlled (Galatians 5:22-23).

It is interesting to note the Scripture does not call love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness etc. a seed of the Spirit. It calls them all a fruit, and that implies maturity. It speaks of completeness. Hallelujah! Naturally speaking, a fruit is a mature and edible product of a tree. In spiritual terms, this tree is Christ! He is the Tree of Life! Hallelujah! That's who you have in you. Glory. So, if you have Him, you have His fruit. Hallelujah! As He is, so are you. Amen!

While your spirit is completely renewed, it isn't so with your soul and body.

Your soul is the mental and emotional part of you. It is a make-up of your mind, will, emotions and conscience while your body is the physical part of you that speaks about your 5 senses which relate to your ability to see, smell, taste, feel and perceive something.

Your soul and body are parts of you that will continue to undergo progressive change till Christ returns.

When God says that you are a new creature, He isn't referring to your soul or body; He is referring to your spirit. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." It didn't say that 'will become new', it says, "are become new" and that speaks of NOW. Glory!

Verse 18 goes further to tell us that "all things are of God" Glory! I ask you, 'Who is God?' John 4:24 gives us the answer, "God is spirit".

So, if God is spirit and everything that became new about you is of God (who is spirit), it simply means that it's in your spirit that you became new. Everything that became new in your life at new birth took place in your spirit. God is neither a soul nor a body. He is a spirit and those who will worship or fellowship with him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Amen.

You might be wondering, "how does all these relate to the suffering I go through as a child of God?" Well, it's very important. The knowledge of who you truly are will change your perspective while you go through any hardship in this world.

I'll pause here.

I believe you've been blessed.

You are completely loved.

God has blessed you.
